Operations Careers
This department is based down at La Collette. It is
responsible for the unloading, booking in, storing and delivery of
goods to our customers. All staff in this area needs to be
physically fit, as there is a lot of lifting and carrying, and they
must take a flexible approach to all tasks.
There are two types of jobs in this area: Driver/storeman
and driver's mate/storeman. For the driver/storeman, a clean
driving licence is essential and a good knowledge of the Island
along with the ability to speak read and write acceptable English
is important. The driver's mate must be capable of helping to load
and unload vehicles and direct the driver, so the ability to read a
map and give clear and concise instructions is a must. As
both these positions are the last link in the sales chain,
applicants must be presentable and be able to deal with customers
face to face.
