From your first conversation to the moment you switch on the oven, here's what getting a new kitchen with Romerils actually involves.

A new kitchen is a big decision, yet most people begin not knowing what to expect. I see it on every project, and things always go more smoothly once people understand the process.

We keep it simple and personal. Here are the seven stages, from your first call to the final handover.

  1. 1

    Initial enquiry and consultation

Every kitchen starts with a conversation, and how you have it is up to you. Some people call. Some email. Some send a message on social media late on a Sunday night. Others pop into the showroom or book a free appointment on our website.

Whichever route you take, the next step is the same: an in-store consultation, where the real groundwork begins. This is where we get to know the shape of your project, your timescales, your budget and the style you're drawn to.

  2. 2

    Design brief and site visit

Once we understand your project, we visit your home to measure the space. We look for anything that might affect the design, such as structural quirks, plumbing or lighting, that a showroom can't show us.

This is where design thinking starts. We talk about what works in your kitchen and what doesn't. If you have mood boards, saved posts or magazine clippings, now's the time to share them. The more we understand your taste, the closer the design will be to what you have in mind.

  3. 3

    Concept design and proposal

With measurements, notes and inspiration in hand, our designers create a concept tailored to how you live, cook and gather. It's never a generic template.

Once the concept is ready, we review it together, refining the layout, appliances and details like handles. When it's right, we present a full proposal with itemised pricing, so you know exactly what you're investing in.

    Design sign-off and approval

This is when it becomes real. Once you're happy with the design and the numbers, we finalise everything. You approve the design, sign an acceptance form and secure your place in the schedule with a 25% deposit.

From here, logistics are our responsibility. We place the orders and coordinate deliveries, so the project is scheduled around your kitchen's arrival.

  2. 5

    Trades and logistics

Behind every smooth installation is a lot of coordination you never see. We organise all the trades you need, such as plumbers, electricians and decorators, and make sure materials arrive just when they're needed. By installation week, every trade is booked and every delivery is timed.

  3. 6

    Installation and project management

This is where your kitchen finally takes shape. Our Installations Manager oversees the whole build, from rip-out to final checks, making sure each stage meets our standards. We keep you updated throughout, so you're never left wondering what's happening.

  4. 7

    Handover and aftercare

The final stage is about peace of mind. We carry out a survey and snag list to make sure everything is finished properly. Then we give you care guides and warranty information, so you can look after your new kitchen.

And we're still here for questions long after handover.
