The Kitchen Design Studio At Romerils

Where we start our day, hang out, and do homework. But most importantly, where the food is.

We’ve said it before, but we’re all about people and the relationships we build with them. So, it’s only right we try to create an area perfect for perching on the counter, long conversations over delicious dinners with family, or your childrens’ first recipes.

Our team of Sales and Design Consultants will guide you through options on furniture, appliances, worktops and also oversee the fitting.

Our Design Process

1. Concept

This is where we take all of the important life stuff listed above (and more) to create an area that allows it to happen and grow.

2. Style

There are a few things to consider in a kitchen, namely the furniture (the cabinets, drawers and cupboards), appliances and the worktop. We can always find something that appeals to you, whether it’s your dream larder cabinet and somewhere to display your specialty teas, double ovens for those big family roasts, or an incombustible Quartz worktop.

3. Fitting

Our Installations Manager is on hand to check sites and measurements, and to organise and work with the sub-contractors who will be responsible for fitting your home’s new HQ.

We can guarantee you’ll have trusted tradesmen turn up to your home and a finely fitted kitchen shortly after.

Tony Salaun

Loves Liverpool, Jersey Wanderers and German kitchens. Tony’s the Assistant Manager in our Kitchens department and is not only pretty handy at designing them, but also at passing on his wisdom and knowledge of the industry to other members of the team. Tony will cook up a storm with modern classic styles for starter, friendly and insightful service for main, and a kitchen you’re delighted with for pudding. Heck, he might even throw in a bottle of bubbly character for you too.

Andreia Duarte

An absolute dynamo with an eye for detail and the knowledge and style to match. While we love how dedicated and passionate Andreia is, her greatest strength is without a doubt her ability to always be smiling and willing to help. Filler panels, friendliness and hitting the brief first time just come naturally to her, as does making a mean salted cod. We are living the dream.

Nachu Elango

Hailing from Chennai, Nachu spent the past few years in Guernsey at a local design agency before upping sticks again and moving to Jersey this year. When we saw her CV, and her smile at the interview, we knew we had to get her. And boy are we glad we did. Nachu loves the Neptune ranges, which are exclusive to us here, so if you know, you know. You might also catch her making her favourite Indian dishes in our working displays on occasion, although you’ll have to be quick as they don’t last long!

Silvio Lopes

The dapper chap, the man with the eyebrows. Silvio has always been involved in creation, having dressed men in suits at Axel Man, and also designing some pretty famous glass windows. In more recent times, Silvio moved across to B&Q, and eventually onto us here to continue his pursuit of Kitchen design and looking great in formal wear.

Laura Smillie

The friendliest person ever who puts anyone and everyone at ease. Laura is always interested and keeps it 100% real. She’ll tell you when it looks good, and what she thinks will make it look better. Laura’s background as an architectural technician, paired with her exceptional warmth make her exactly the right fit for us. Laura loves a challenge and pays keen attention to the little things, including her two young children.

Martin Murray

The best kitchen fitter around, and a dab hand at managing all our installations for Kitchens and Bedrooms. Martin plays an essential role in the overall supply & fit service we offer. Martin’s represented the Island in the Muratti (alongside Tony Salaun) back in the day, and when he’s not watching his beloved Arsenal you might find him renovating his wee rural cottage.
