Celebrating 75 Years of Us – A Day of Fun and Gratitude!

On Tuesday, (25th March), we marked a monumental milestone – our 75th Anniversary! And in true Romerils style, we decided to celebrate with plenty of fun, appreciation, and a trip down memory lane.

Cupcakes & Companionship

No celebration is complete without cake! To start the day on a sweet note, every team member was treated to a delicious cupcake, hand-delivered by two of our Directors – Richard Sherrington, Finance Director, and Kim Royle, our newly appointed HR Director. A big thank you to both of them for ensuring everyone got their sugar fix, as well as a friendly smile!

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ceri’s Cakes – your delicious creations truly made our day extra special!

Throwback Challenge – Directors Rewind Time!

While the cupcakes were being enjoyed, our other three Directors took on a special challenge – returning to their original roles for the morning. It was a nostalgic and entertaining experience for all:

Mark Syvret, Chairman

With an incredible 39 years of service, hopped back into the ORIGINAL Romerils truck, joining our Willow Farm Team to help with deliveries.

Steve Jewell, Managing Director

Bringing 32 years of experience, swapped his usual responsibilities for a busy morning in our Admin Department. He was put on a strict rota and tasked with plenty of duties – including making teas and coffees for the team and causing trouble!

Mark Temple, Admin Director

After 42 dedicated years, rolled up his sleeves in the Goods In Department, checking in stock and ensuring the floors were spotless.

(They all did a tremendous job – but we think it’s best they stick to their day jobs!)

A Week of Giving Back
