Part of the trusted and long lasting Energizer Max range, 9V single-use 6LR61 or PP3 alkaline batteries feature zinc-manganese dioxide (Zn/MnO2) chemistry. They contain no added mercury or cadmium.

Typical applications include moderate current drain devices such as microphones, baby monitors and RF transmitters (garage openers), etc. These compact, rectangular cells are also commonly fitted in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, presence detectors and computer equipment, along with certain types of flashlight, walkie-talkies and older electronic scales. Additionally, PP3/6LR61 batteries are sometimes specified in clock radios to supply backup power and maintain settings during temporary power outages.

Energizer Max 6LR61 batteries have a five-year shelf life. Output is a nominal 9.0 Volts and they are direct replacements for MN1604, 6LR1, PC1604, 1604LC, K9V, 6AM-6, 4022, 6AM6 and E-BLOCK size codes. Maximum overall dimensions are 48.5 x 26.5 x 17.5 millimetres, with a weight of 45.6 grammes.
